In your counselling therapy sessions, you’ll be given space to talk in a non-judgmental and confidential environment. You'll explore your inner dialogue, emotions, belief systems and coping responses and how these may be limiting you. Mindfulness will play a role in your sessions as you cultivate awareness of unhelpful patterns and transform your relationship to them. You will become empowered with a sense of freedom to live presently, with a greater sense of coherence and authenticity in your life.

Lindsay's counselling style is warm and values-driven, using a blend of mindfulness-based, cognitive therapy, and person-centered approaches. She will assist you as you intentionally carve your life path, encouraging you to commit to making lasting changes.

Lindsay graduated with distinction from the Psychology Specialist program at the University of Toronto with a minor in Buddhism, Psychology, and Mental Health. She also graduated top of her class with a post-graduate diploma in Behavioural Science Technology from St. Lawrence College, and she holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in Canada.

In 2014, Lindsay was the first Canadian to receive specialized training in the Swedish Alnarp Model of Nature-Based Therapy from psychologists at the University of Copenhagen. She has taught mindfulness meditation to inmates through Correctional Service Canada, provided mindfulness-based psychotherapy for eating disorders and addictions at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, and worked as a mental health counsellor at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

As a professional member in good standing of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), Lindsay holds designation as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and she is licensed as a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) through the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT).
